The Artists Statement:
"I have been involved in many professions and
businesses through the years. Perhaps I’ve never had
the courage to follow my passion. No more! What I
offer has taken a lifetime of preparation, but
finally, I am doing what I love, and I love what I
do!"
"I am overpowered by great colors, great
textures, and great music. The natural colors of wood
have been stamped by nature into the very fiber of
each piece and reflect the locale and climate where
each tree grew. I am fascinated by the pungent smells
of sawdust; each wood has its own."
"I am confronted by an ever-present daring of a
challenge—cutthroat daring, if you will, and I am
reckless in my assault on established barriers. I am
not after the sleek but the ornamental. I am all about
embellishments created from the heart, fashioned by
the hand, and shaped by desire. I am into talent on
the page, splashed on a canvas, put behind a
magnificent frame on the wall. I have found that
craftsmanship adds vitality to the soul, which enables
beauty to spring into life."

"In my workshop beauty threatens to break out at every
moment. I’ve been seduced, enticed to crush the illusions
which create littleness, and I’ve begun to live for what
I’ve longed. From now on, I will gladly accept arts’ pay,
for it pays daily in things like rhapsodic eruptions and
creative impulses, which sway my very soul. I choose now, to
do the inspired thing. I consciously place everything
within, above everything I find around me. I may win, or I
may lose, but at least my name will never be listed on the
roster of the cold and timid souls who disqualify themselves
by never attempting either one."
"An artist loves the language of the task that fills
his hand, and for me, that is the beauty of exotic
hardwoods. Colors, like words to an author and paint to a
painter, are like sensuous forces that play upon me like a
lyric. May my work create an uncontrollable, creative fire
within you."
