Where I can start the upgrade or renovation of my house?
My husband and I are closing on a home in a week (19/02). We know that we want to break the carpet finishing hardwood floors, and remove the wood paneling on all walls. We will do this work before entering My question is: Where on earth we start? Here is a sequence of events the way I think should go, but I'm not sure. 1) Start the carpet 2) sand and clean the floors 3) Support the protection of soil, so they can do other work 4) remove the setting on the walls, painting (which is below plasterboard) 5) Finally, close the floor I thought that if we left the paneling on the walls as sand would minimize any cleaning problems. In addition, you can rent a flat free sander dust? If much more expensive than regular or drum sanders? Any suggestions on how to do it?
Sorry, but no there's nothing like the floor sanding "free of dust." vacuum fittings reduce but not eliminate the dust. The sand area is simply too large and not drum you can create a perfect seal against the sandy area to funnel all the dust in a vacuum. His plane is upside down – I'll explain why: After you have made a lot of renovation of old, I recommend working from the top down. Bare wood first, sockets, no more – probably make some patches and sanding, then priming and painting. carpet is a big "sponge" for all that dust, dirt and drops to the left in place for now and that can carry the disgusting mess later. Once the walls and roof patching and painting is done, then go to the demo-ing the existing soil. When you sand the floors in my past (100 years) house, rented the mill best I could find and hired a man to help me who had some experience with it. I discovered that it was best to do a piece at a time, and sealed with plastic covers over the doors Corrall dust, as far as possible. Also fined folded filter paper for my shop vac and went running into the room while I sand (I got off the tube from a wire attached to a doorknob – that seems to help get the air crap game) Vaccuum the floors sand several times after you are done and you can buy a lot of tack rags -. I am attaching a tack rags of those "Swiffer" mop to collect dust lost as much as possible. Be sure to dust the walls with it too – a lot of sand grains stick. Once the floors are finished painting a new round of age or baseboards and fourth in the garage, using one of these 4 "rolls Fine foam for a beautiful finish. Then installing the seat and voila!
